WESTERN PHLEBOLOGY – VARICOSE VEINS CLINIC SPECIALISES IN NON INVASIVE, COSMETIC REMOVAL OF ABNORMAL VEINS WHICH COULD BE COMPARED TO KEYHOLE SURGERY.

At Western Phlebology we are dedicated to the prevention and treatment of Venous Disorders. We provide continuous after-care so the patient can be assured that they can refer back to us at any time in the future to obtain advice and further treatment if required.

Our procedural clinic is located in the southern suburb of Perth in an elevated position with views of the City. All facilities are of the highest quality. This is a five star clinic and no effort is spared to make our patients as comfortable and relaxed as possible.

‘Your First Consultation'

Please understand that without a proper clinical examination and assessment of the extent of your varicose veins we are unable to quote you about the costs involved until you have been seen by the Doctor.

During the first consultation you will be able to ask any questions relevant to your problem. It is advisable to write them down prior to your visit and we will endeavour to clarify any doubts you may have in your mind. Our aim is to set aside any fears you may have about having treatment. The first consultation is purely informational so the Doctor can find as many details about your veins and general health and you can find out what can be done in your particular case and the costs involved. There is no obligation whatsoever. You may decide to book for your procedure that day or alternatively you may require more time to digest all the information and discuss it with your family before you make your decision. We would be happy to see you again at a later date if more clarification is required.

I graduated from the University of Bristol England in 1982 with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery. After practicing as a doctor for several years in the UK and Bermuda, I decided to establish my life as a General Practitioner in Australia, initially practicing in Sydney and later in Western Australia, where I then became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1996.

I became interested in varicose vein disease after my own personal experience. I had my varicose veins treated by different methods. I initially had the varicose veins stripped on three different occasions under general anaesthetic. Unfortunately these veins quickly returned. I was looking for an alternative procedure which would be effective and non-invasive. I then discovered a less invasive procedure offered by Dr Marius Loeffler.

Dr Loeffler performed Ambulatory Phlebectomy under local anaesthetic on my legs with excellent results. This clever procedure inspired me to seek a career in Ambulatory Phlebectomy and so I began my training with Dr Loeffler. He then invited me to assist in his clinic and sadly after his passing I am now continuing on with his wishes that Western Phlebology will continue to help our patients.
